When you’re looking for a new, small hatchback car, you want the best you can get for your money. And it certainly wouldn’t hurt if it had a little personality and sportiness, as well. With that in mind, it’s tough to do better than the 2010 Accent Hatchback.  It has everything you’d want in a compact car – or any car, for that matter: it’s spacious, it’s reliable and it’s safe. What’s more, it’s a new car that’s affordable to buy and – because it’s so fuel-efficient – affordable to run.  The Accent Hatchback brings you the best of space-maximizing design in an attractive – some say really cute – package. Two wide doors up front make getting in and out a snap. And an easy-lift hatchback makes loading your groceries or your gear a breeze. Better still, the rear seats fold flat to hold large or long items.   As testament to its quality and reliability, the Accent has been recognized with the 2009 Best Bet, in the subcompact category, at the Car Book Best Bet Awards.  These days, everybody wants more for less. With Accent Hatchback, you get it. It fits into more parking spots and goes further on less gas. It’s a small vehicle that gives you a whole lot of bang for your buck.

Great looks. Right size.

The Accent Hatchback has miles of style.

Take a look around any busy street and you’ll notice a funny thing: a lot of cars look a lot alike. And to make things worse, most just don’t have a lot of character.  You can’t say that about the Accent Hatchback. It’s small. It’s fun. It’s… okay, it’s cute. It looks like it wants you to get in and take it somewhere cool. It’s got a good attitude.  The Accent Hatchback’s sporty look is evident from its rounded, curvy front end to its body colour exterior door handles, bumpers and mirrors, and funky Euro-inspired roof-mounted antenna design.  Its 3-door design makes loading cargo easy. And, while it’s spacious on the inside, its small exterior is just the right size for manoeuvring around the city.  Sure, you don’t buy a car just for its looks. But when you take smart looks and add a 110 horsepower engine, a quality interior, fuel-efficient drivetrain and more standard features than you’d expect, the whole package becomes very attractive.

Highlighted Features

Refined tail lights flow from the corner of the body to the back of the car. They’re stylish and highly visible to approaching drivers.

How about a really nicely finished interior?

When you think of how much time you spend in your car, is it any wonder that you want a few nice touches: a few spots to put down your beverage, a nice stereo, maybe nice fabrics for the seats?  With the Accent Hatchback, it’s the fun exterior that draws you in. But it’s the great interior that keeps you there.  In a new Accent Hatchback, there’s room for two up front, three in back, with a surprisingly roomy cargo area in behind. And for longer or larger loads, the 60/40 split back seat folds down partially or down for even greater flexibility.  And if you’re driving your Accent on a daily commute, you’ll appreciate the convenience of abundant cupholders and an AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary plug.  To top it all off, you’ve got an exceptional level of fit and finish. There’s a feeling of quality, with materials that look, feel and work much better than you likely think a compact car’s materials should.  There’s really no reason for an affordable small car to have an inexpensive feel. Take a seat in the new Accent Hatchback and see how we’ve done small well.

Accent Hatchback performance and safety.

The power to move. The power to protect.

When you buy a small car, you want it to be small on price and small on gas. But you still want it to be big on safety. Fortunately, Accent Hatchback has you covered.  First off, dual frontal airbags come standard on all Accents. They add peace of mind to the standard front 3-point seatbelts with pretensioners and force limiters. And rear-seat passengers get first-class treatment with the added protection of head restraints.  To help keep you out of harm’s way, every day, the Accent achieves impressive control with power-assisted ventilated front disc and rear drum braking and power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering with RPM sensing.  Under the hood, the Accent Hatchback features a finely tuned 1.6L, 4-cylinder engine generating a galloping 110 horsepower. Plus, standard on the engine is Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT). This allows cylinders to breathe efficiently at both low and high RPMs – resulting in improved performance, reduced emissions and better fuel economy.  All that power is then moved through your choice of manual five-speed or automatic four-speed transmission to the 14” steel wheels, with full wheelcovers (or 16” alloys on GL w/Sport Package). And even with that get-up-and-go, the Accent Hatchback returns exceptional mileage.  The result is a small car that’s as nimble as you’d expect, and more powerful than you’d think. One drive in a new Accent Hatchback will convince you.
