When you’re looking for a new small car, you want the best you can get for the money. With that in mind, it’s tough to do better than the 2010 Accent Sedan.  It has everything you’d want in a compact car – or, for that matter, in any car: it’s spacious, it’s reliable and it’s safe. What’s more, it’s a new car that’s affordable to buy and – because it’s so fuel-efficient – affordable to run.  The Accent Sedan brings you the best of space-maximizing design in an attractive, stylish package. Four doors make entering and exiting a snap for the whole gang, and a roomy trunk accommodates a week’s groceries or a weekend’s luggage.  As testament to its quality and reliability, the Accent has been recognized with the 2009 Best Bet, in the subcompact category, at the Car Book Best Bet Awards.  We all want more for less. With Accent, you get it. It fits into more parking spots and goes further on less gas. It’s a small vehicle that gives you much more bang for your buck.

A really nice looking small car.

What’s the right look for a compact car? Cute…sure. Sensible? Maybe. How about smart. Smart means you’re getting everything you need – and more – for less than you’d expect to pay. You get contemporary good looks with a dash of charm. Gentle curves, with formal proportions. And sporty elements, with sensible amenities. You get a car that seats five comfortably, but still gets great fuel economy.  We’ve even added touches like body-colour door handles, mirrors and side mouldings – because cars just look a bit better that way. Plus, the chrome accents of its front grille and the stylish Euro-inspired roof-mounted antenna design further complement the Accent sedan’s good looks.  Its 4-door design makes loading passengers easy. And, while it’s spacious on the inside, its small exterior is just the right size for maneouvring around the city. You don’t buy any car for looks alone. But when you couple smart looks with a 110 horsepower engine, quality interior, fuel-efficient drivetrain and more standard features than you’d expect, the whole package becomes very attractive indeed.

After all, it’s where you’re spending your time.

An exceptional small car demands an exceptional small car interior. After all, when you think of how much time you spend in your vehicle, you really should feel comfortable and welcome.  With the Accent Sedan, all that’s missing is the welcome mat. You’ve got 4 doors, so everyone can enter and exit comfortably, without ducking and twisting. And if you’re driving your Accent on a daily commute, you’ll appreciate the convenience of abundant cupholders and an AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary plug.  To top it all off, you’ve got an exceptional level of fit and finish. There’s a feeling of quality, with materials that look, feel and work much better than you likely think a compact car’s materials should.  There’s really no reason that an affordable small car should have an inexpensive feel. Take a seat in the new Accent sedan and see how we’ve done small well.

A car that manages to strike the perfect balance.

If you believe that a small car has to be small on performance and safety features to remain affordable, maybe it’s time to change your thinking. Because the Accent does very well on both counts.  Let’s start up front, with a finely tuned 1.6L, 4-cylinder engine generating a galloping 110 horsepower. That muscle is then moved through your choice of manual five-speed or automatic four-speed transmission to the 14” steel wheels, with full wheelcovers (or 15” alloys on GLS). And even with that get-up-and-go, the Accent Sedan returns exceptional mileage.  One important, beneficial feature of the Accent is the engine’s standard Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT). This technology allows cylinders to breathe efficiently at both low and high RPMs – resulting in improved performance, reduced emissions and better fuel economy.  For safety, dual frontal airbags come standard on all Accents, with an additional two front seat-mounted side-impact bags and two roof-mounted side-curtain airbags - for added peace of mind – available only on the GLS. To help keep you out of harm’s way, every day, the Accent achieves impressive control with power-assisted front disc and rear drum braking and power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering. ABS Braking with Electronic Brake Force Distribution is also available on the GLS.
