A performance luxury sedan unlike any other.

Genesis: a name that evokes the notion of birth, beginnings and bright futures. The Luxury Genesis Sedan is all of those things, and more. The product of Hyundai’s relentless push for high-quality, bold designs and breakthrough levels of refinement and performance, the Genesis Sedan is bar-raising at its most impressive, all at an affordable price.  The Genesis Sedan is a midsize rear-wheel drive sedan that comes equipped with an unparalleled level of luxury features, including 17” aluminum alloy wheels, leather seating, a 290 horsepower 3.8L V6 or a 375* horsepower 4.6L V8 CVVT DOHC engine, and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS).  And in its first year on the market, the Genesis Sedan has not gone unnoticed amongst people who know cars well. In recognition of its outstanding innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction, affordability and value, the Genesis has been awarded the 2009 North American Car of The Year, and has been rated Most Appealing Midsize Premium Car in the U.S.** by J.D. Power and Associates, as well as Canadian Car of the Year and Best New Luxury Car Under $50,000 by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).  Experience Hyundai’s new benchmark for quality and refinement. Grab hold of a new beginning: the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Sedan.

Perfection in design and detail.

Imposing. Confident. Dominant. Words that come to mind when looking at the new 2010 Hyundai Genesis Sedan. Hyundai’s first performance luxury rear-wheel drive sedan makes its presence known with styling that says, unmistakably, that this is a premium automobile.  Imposing alloy wheels are standard on all Genesis Sedan models: 17” 14-spoke on the 3.8 and 18” 9- and 14-spoke on all other models. The bodywork features some of the closest tolerances and narrowest panel-gaps in the industry, which results in reduced wind noise for a quieter driving experience.  Up front, the Genesis Sedan’s available Xenon high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights use a precision-cut design providing maximum nighttime visibility without distracting other drivers. Each lamp features an auto-leveling function to keep the headlights properly aligned with the road, regardless of how the vehicle is loaded.  Additionally, on the 3.8L or 4.6L with Tech. Packages, you’ll appreciate the crystal-clear visibility and automatic swivel of the Automatic Front Lighting System (AFLS) headlights and automatic-dimming outside mirrors.  Get behind the wheel of an automobile that tells you you’ve arrived while you’re still on the journey. Experience the power and style of the 2010 Genesis Sedan.

Mobile office, lounge, or concert hall?

The Genesis Sedan’s interior is a space unlike any other. Premium leather seating, it goes without saying, is standard on all models. The front seats are heated, with 4-way power adjustment for passenger and 8-way power adjustment – with memory and lumbar support – for driver. Plus, the Integrated Memory System (IMS) remembers your favourite position for the adjustable steering wheel, driver’s seat and outside mirrors.  Audiophiles will appreciate the sound system, featuring AM/FM/XM/6-disc CD/MP3 with 7 speakers and iPod, USB and auxiliary plugs. On Tech. Packages, you’ll also enjoy the Discrete Logic 7® Lexicon surround sound system with 17 speakers.  With Genesis Sedan, you’ll like the small, thoughtful touches, such as the windshield wiper de-icer, electro-chromic auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass and HomeLinkTM integrated transceiver, Bluetooth® Handsfree, and an auto-defogging system with humidity sensor that works to automatically prevent windshield fogging.  And because it’s rarely just the right temperature, driver and guests alike will appreciate the automatic dual-zone temperature control, console-mounted rear-seat ducts, cabin air filter and air-quality sensor.  All this in a cabin that’s one of the quietest on the road – even on the roughest roads – with a sound level reading of just 63.2 decibels. The Genesis Sedan gives you a lot to think about – and a little peace and quiet to do your thinking in.

Performance and safety receive equal attention.

When it comes to performance and reliability, it’s tough – very tough – to beat the Genesis Sedan. It comes with the incredibly powerful Lamda 3.8L DOHC V6 engine generating 290 horsepower. If that’s not enough kick, opt for the 375 horsepower 4.6L Tau V8 engine.  Taking the Lamda’s power to the road is an Aisin 6-speed SHIFTRONICTM automatic transmission with an overdrive lock-up torque converter for improved highway fuel economy. The Tau, meanwhile, is mated to a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONICTM. This powertrain combination launches Genesis to 96 km/h in less than six seconds.  Complementing the Genesis’ performance is an unparalleled level of safety features.  Standard on all Genesis models is Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control System, a cutting-edge driving stability system designed to sense oversteer and understeer conditions. During unexpected and dangerous situations, it adjusts the braking power of each wheel utilizing the Traction Control System to help restore the driver’s intended course.  And should the unforeseen occur, the Genesis Sedan is equipped with eight safety airbags – front dual advanced, two front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, two roof-mounted side-curtain airbags and two rear seat-mounted side-impact airbags – to surround its occupants in protection.
