Hyundai’s definitive crossover utility vehicle.
Everyone does something well. The true standouts, though, excel at a number of things. The newly refined Hyundai Santa Fe CUV is just such a vehicle. Some vehicles pride themselves on their space – for cargo and people. Some have design on their side. Others offer a great ride or a good price. But with equal parts sophisticated styling, resourceful utility and road-holding agility, the new Santa Fe is the Crossover Utility Vehicle that does it all. With a variety of models to choose from – including GL, Sport and Limited – the Santa Fe offers a sure-footed ride in either two-wheel drive or all-wheel-drive configuration. Life is about going for exactly what you want – not settling for second best. So instead of making tradeoffs – ride over cargo or looks over space – get it all. Redesigned for 2010, the Hyundai Santa Fe gives you everything you could want in a CUV. There’s room for people. Room for their stuff. And a ride that carries them all there in comfort, control and safety. For a life on the move, we’ve got you covered in the midsize 2010 Santa Fe CUV.
A striking balance of contemporary styling and classic lines.
It’s no surprise that exterior styling is important to drivers. It’s the first thing you see, whether it’s on the street or in the showroom window. While it takes time to get comfortable with some designs, others take just one look before you think, “That’s just right”. So, for 2010, we’ve taken a good thing and made it even better. In a design this pleasing to the eye, there are no extraneous lines or incomplete thoughts. The Santa Fe melds stunning curves with modern accents to strike the perfect balance of styling and state-of-the-art functionality. Standard alloy wheels maximize the Santa Fe’s clean good looks, giving it commanding presence on the road. The 2010 Santa Fe’s distinctive face features a new body colour grille with chrome accents, and available redesigned fog lights sitting beneath new combination wrap-around, jewelled projector-beam headlamps. At back, a new rear fascia contains freshly redesigned combination tail lamps. It’s an evolution of a strong design, bringing a fresh face and cleaner lines to an already smart package.
An interior that’s as inviting as the outside is stylish.
It’s safe to say that while its exterior design creates the first impression, the Santa Fe’s interior creates a lasting one. Smart design has resulted in an interior with generous head, leg and shoulder room. Increased structural rigidity and optimized suspension means a more sedan-like ride and a quieter cabin – perfect for enjoying the 6-speaker, 120W, AM/FM/XM/CD/MP3 audio system. Opt for the Limited’s available 10-speaker, 605W Infinity® system with 6-CD changer and experience acoustical accuracy unlike any you’ve experienced in a CUV before. XM Satellite radio and an auxiliary input jack for MP3 players are standard on all models. The Santa Fe’s space-efficient design delivers ample room for people and cargo, and with fold-down second-row seats, you have access to 2,214L of valuable cargo space. The available 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support proves the Santa Fe’s interior is the result of thoughtful design. And to get you where you’re going, the Limited’s available touchscreen navigation system, with a high-resolution LCD screen and a rear camera to make backing up safer and stress-free. The XM name and logos are registered trademarks of XM Satellite Radio Inc.
No compromises – in the Santa Fe, you get both.
On the performance side, the big story for 2010 is the Santa Fe’s wider range of fuel-efficient engine options – a spirited 2.4L inline 4-cylinder or a powerful 3.5L V6. Putting that power to the road, the 2.4L has two transmission options featuring six gears for fuel-saving performance – a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic with SHIFTRONIC™ – while the 3.5L comes standard with the automatic. Optional all-wheel drive provides assured control even in precarious weather conditions. New for 2010, Santa Fe also features direct sub-frame on frame mounting for improved ride quality, and a fuel-saving alternator management system. One of the easiest and most effective ways to improve fuel efficiency is to adjust your driving style. The Santa Fe’s new Eco Indicator will show you when you’re driving most efficiently, saving you gas and money while benefitting the environment. On the safety side, the Santa Fe offers a superior level of protection with a comprehensive package of high-tech safety features. Standard on all models are six airbags1, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control System (TCS)2, and front and rear disc brakes featuring an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA) for maximum control. From adjustable head rests and front active and rear autofold head restraints to LATCH child-seat anchors, it’s clear Hyundai is keeping your safety a priority. And to make backing up safer and easier, the Limited’s available navigation system includes; a high-resolution LCD screen with a rear backup camera.
